Anime Ascendants Day-One Walkthrough

Group rewards, codes, first summons, and the units worth feeding.

Getting Started

Anime Ascendants is already live on Roblox. You load into an online 16-player lobby, walk it on desktop or mobile, and start placing units against waves. The first hour is not a mystery if you refuse to wander. Join the official Anime Ascendants Roblox group, redeem every working code, finish the tutorial, then push the opening story chapters on a tiny roster. This page is that hour in order.

The group join is not optional flavor. It is how most accounts pick up a free Miki Exclusive without spending gems. Do it before you summon so the unit is sitting in the index when you start building a loadout. After the group, walk to the codes NPC—Naruto, near spawn in the current lobby. Interact with E (or the mobile interact button), paste a code, redeem, and repeat. Live strings and rewards live on the codes hub. If a video recites an old phrase, check expired codes instead of standing at Naruto. The exact click path is on how to redeem codes.

Those three binds cover almost every lobby task. You will use E on Naruto, on the Summon room, and on Miki. After you enter the Summon room, turn right immediately. The orange Traits sign marks Miki. You do not need to reroll anything on minute one, but you should know the door exists so you are not hunting the vendor later. Desktop and mobile share the same servers; a phone player can clear every story chapter a keyboard player can clear. The difference is tap precision when you place towers, not a separate ruleset.

Finish the tutorial even if you already know tower defense. It hands you starter units, explains placement, and unlocks the queue buttons you actually need. Skip it and you will spend ten minutes looking for Story on a locked board.

Story first, banners second

Your job after the tutorial is not to empty the gem pouch. It is to clear the first story chapters. First-clears pay gem bonuses, and those bonuses are how F2P accounts afford the 50-gem standard summon. Each pull on that banner costs 50 gems. That is a clean number: one first-clear plus a daily drip often equals one more roll. Random limited banners are not that clean. They cost more, they rotate, and they will still be there after Chapter 3. Hold the stash until the story board has opened raids. Raids are the main Magic Token faucet, and Magic Tokens are what you later spend on premium summons and trait rerolls. The story mode guide covers that unlock path, including legend stages, infinite, trivia, and why a farm unit belongs on wave 1.

While you rush those chapters, play the same loadout every run. Spreading levels, trait rolls, and duplicate fodder across six average units is how new accounts stall in mid-story. Focus one or two names. Feed those names. Bench the rest.

Who to raise on day one

Roles matter more than rarity labels on a fresh index.

Farm: Bolma is the default money unit. Senko is the backup farm if Bolma has not dropped. Place the farm on wave 1 so the income starts before your carry needs upgrades. Long raids and infinite runs feel impossible without this slot.

Support: Orwin is the early buff you keep into late game. The damage aura is the reason even expensive squads still bring him. If you pull Orwin on a 50-gem summon, that is your support—do not replace him with a slightly shinier DPS that has no team buff.

Early mythics: Hosino and Megomu are the beginner-friendly mythics. They carry story chapters while you wait for a real evolution target. They are not the end of the account. Treat them as a bridge.

Early legendaries: Touci is the legendary DPS most new players actually feel. Orwin, again, is the legendary support. If your best damage is Touci and your best aura is Orwin, that is a complete early core. You do not need five legendaries.

Do not overbuild: Niruto Kid, Goko, and Luffo look familiar and they will show up in the first summons. They do not have the evolution ceiling you want. Park them. The units tier list and best units pages exist so you stop guessing which names are bridges and which names are dead ends. Farm and aura details live on farm and support.

Summons without burning the account

Walk into the Summon room only when you have a plan. Standard 50-gem pulls are how you find Bolma, Senko, Orwin, Hosino, Megomu, Touci, and later Hosoko, Goju, and Shonks. That is enough of a menu. Until Chapter 3 is cleared, ignore the urge to dump the rest of the pouch into a flashy rotating banner. You will still want gems when an evolution unit or a raid unlock asks for them. If a limited banner is genuinely the current meta (Guts / Griffith during a Berserk window, for example), confirm it on events before you spend. The default advice stays: story first, 50-gem banner second, everything else later.

You will sometimes pull a unit that already has a trait attached. That is rare and random. Do not reroll it yet unless the trait is obviously garbage on a unit you will keep for months. Miki is always to the right as you enter the Summon room, under the orange Traits sign. Press E, select the unit, hit the pink Reroll button. Each trait reroll commonly costs 1 Magic Token. Tokens are scarce on day one because raids are not open. Save them. The trait planner and the reroll guide exist for the moment you have a real carry, not for a C-tier starter.

A 60-minute checklist

  1. Join the Anime Ascendants Roblox group.
  2. Redeem every live code at Naruto. Use the codes list so you are not typing from memory.
  3. Finish the tutorial. Confirm WASD, Space, and E (or the mobile equivalents) feel natural.
  4. Queue story. Clear the opening chapters. Take the first-clear gems.
  5. Summon on the 50-gem banner only. Stop when you have a farm and a support, or when the pouch is empty.
  6. Put Bolma or Senko on wave 1. Put Orwin where the aura covers the carry. Upgrade the farm first, the carry second.
  7. Look at Miki so you know the Traits door. Do not spend Magic Tokens yet.
  8. When Chapter 3 is done and raids are visible, open the Guides Hub and move to story routing, evolution, or traits—not another round of random summons.

If a stage still leaks after that checklist, the problem is placement or economy, not a missing Secret. Re-read the story mode page for farm-on-wave-1, range, and line-versus-full AoE before you spend more gems. Evolution can wait until you own a unit that actually has an evolution—Itadoki toward Sukuno is the classic example, covered in how to evolve.

Keep Trello and Discord nearby for drop-table changes, but do not let either replace this route. The lobby will still be there after you learn it. The gem pouch will not grow back if you empty it on a banner you did not need.

When the first hour is over you should have claimed codes, finished a few story chapters, parked a farm unit, parked a support, and ignored every banner that is not a 50-gem standard summon. That is a complete day-one. Everything after that is a different guide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, traits, summons, and story progress.

Where do I redeem codes?

Walk to the codes NPC (Naruto, near spawn), press E, paste the string, and redeem. Full steps are on how to redeem. Live codes sit on the codes hub.

Should I join the Roblox group before I summon?

Yes. The group reward is a free Miki Exclusive for most accounts. Join first so the unit is in the index before you spend gems.

Which units should I invest in first?

Farm Bolma or Senko, support Orwin, then an early mythic such as Hosino or Megomu or a legendary such as Touci. Do not spread resources across the whole index. Confirm names on the units tier list.

When am I allowed to spend gems on limited banners?

After you have cleared early story, ideally through Chapter 3, so raids (and Magic Tokens) are in play. Until then, stick to the 50-gem standard summon.

Where is the trait NPC?

Enter the Summon room and turn right. Miki stands under the orange Traits sign. Press E to open the menu. You do not need to reroll on day one.

Does mobile play the same game as desktop?

Yes. Same 16-player online servers, same stages, same units. Desktop uses WASD, Space, and E. Mobile uses on-screen move, jump, and interact controls.
