What is the Ascendant Trial?
The Ascendant Trial is a multi-stage challenge that tests your entire roster. Unlike regular challenges or story mode, the trial imposes strict modifiers that require optimized loadouts, proper evolution, and good trait choices. Only players with fully built teams should attempt this content.
The trial is accessed through a special NPC or portal in the lobby during the Bloody Winter event period. It is separate from the standard challenge queue.
UPPERMOON Title
The UPPERMOON title is the rarest cosmetic in Anime Ascendants. It is earned exclusively through the Ascendant Trial. This title displays next to your in-game name and signals to other players that you have completed the hardest content in the game.
Unlike the Subzero title (purchasable with event currency), UPPERMOON requires actual skill and roster investment to obtain.
Trial Structure
The Ascendant Trial consists of multiple acts with increasing difficulty:

If you are still clearing story mode or cannot hold Infinite past wave 50, the Ascendant Trial will be extremely difficult.
Strategy Tips
Build order matters. The trial expects a fully optimized triangle: Golden farm on wave 1, evolved carry with mythic trait, support covering the carry tile.
Read the modifiers. Each act applies different modifiers. Some reduce economy, others boost enemy HP, and some restrict unit placement. Adapt your loadout to the modifier before entering.
One attempt at a time. Unlike challenges with repeat windows, the Ascendant Trial may have limited attempts or long cooldowns. Prepare fully before entering an act.
Do not bring extra bodies. The triangle is enough. Extra units steal cash from the carry that needs the upgrades to clear the final acts.
